• Software: The external drive has a simple plug and play feature which eliminates the need of any software installation. It is really a cool feature for those lazy brains like mine who hate installing software drivers. The hot plug installation is something that I like most. This does not call for restarting the computer every time you connect or disconnect the device.
• Extras: This black slim external drive really took me off my feet when I found this additional feature. It has a pass-through connector which allowed me to add an additional USB device to my notebook. So, if you find that you are short of an USB port, this Targus PADVD010U external drive becomes a handy candidate.

As most of the peripherals that I use are USB devices, I really liked the Targus PA055U. The blue glowing lights of the four USB ports also give a nice visual effect.

However, for those who want to use the hub with their desktop can find the chord to be little short in length (just below 3 feet). Also the weight can be a factor for them as the stiffness of the chord determines the direction of the USB ports. This can really be annoying for the desktop users. But when comes to overall rating, the Targus PA055U Ultra Mini Hub does really good and I will preferably give it a 5 star rating for use with a netbook.

I was thinking how to increase the life of my laptop and then suddenly I came across this cooling pad for laptops. Guess what? My lappe no longer becomes uncomfortably hot on my lap and get that extra bit of balance when I work on it. The chill pad is a portable LapDesk and is foldable that can not only support my netbook but also, it can support a PDA keyboard.

The PA248U Chill Mat has a thin design so that it can be easily packed with the netbook in the case. The chill pad is quite sturdy so that give support to the heaviest laptop in the market (though my laptop is one of the lightest in the market which I really enjoy).

The most interesting feature of the Targus cooling pad is that it comes with an adjustable foot that which can raise the back edge of the laptop so that the air circulation increases. This gives better cooling efficiency and my dearest lappe remains cool while I keep tapping its keys for hours.

The chill pad features two built in fans which enhance the cooling capabilities. I was quite surprised to find that the Targus PA248U Notebook Chill Mat weighs only 15 OZ but still manages to be quite sturdy. This elegantly designed cooling pad also has rubber domes which are non-skid by nature so that the lappe does not slip off!

The USB hub that I bough also helped a lot as the chill pad is powered by USB ports of the laptop and the additional ports of the hub really helped! Wow! The company really bothers about our needs! Last but not the least, to my utter amazement I found that the device comes with an on/off switch so that I can customize by lappe cooling experiences! That’s cool!

Again a stunner! The Targus docking station is the first of its kind with a capability of true video output. What really impressed me is that, this docking station is based on USB functionality. While it allowed me to connect to an external monitor, mouse, Ethernet, printer, keyboard, speakers or any other device at a blink of an eye, I found that the Targus ACP50US is the first device in market which allow these facilities through a single USB connection. Well, I will better call this to be a true masterpiece.

The unbeatable flexibility of this docking station over the traditional OEM docking stations comes bundled with an attractive low price and at the same time has a unique design that helped me to place my lappe in a position that makes typing easier and gives a better cooling experience to the notebook.

The unique and by far the best feature of the docking station is that it allows two of the four USB ports to always have power (with the help of a button at the back) even when my lappe sleeps. So, I can always have my USB devices (like PDAs and phones) on recharging mode. The docking station gives the unique plug and play facility and hence, my laptop can now recognize any new USB device without asking for a reboot. That saves a lot of my time. The one touch interface actually allowed me to discard the extra cables when I tried to attach an LCD monitor to my notebook. I can really enjoy some cool movies on a big screen in a matter of seconds.
