The dark rules! Is black the future? Well this may sound a bit sadistic and offbeat and the Interpol and FBI can surely run on top of me to push me behind the bars! However, the story is all about the Targus TLE300! Probably now, these law guys can have a bit of easy breathing! Ah just kidding but, this is true, the black TLE300 is a state of the art notebook case produced by Targus.

On one hand when the black Targus TLE300 is busy protecting my investment on portable computing, on other hand at the same time it gave me an unbeatable style. The thing that surprised me the most is the spacious interiors of the bag. The inner dimensions of the bag is 11.6”H x 14”W x 2”D.

The extra storage space in the bag is just perfect to fit in those extra accessories which bother me when I travel. The bag is actually spacious enough to fit in the Sony Vaio AW 18.4″ laptop. Only concern when you try to put in or pull out the laptop out of the bag is that you need to be careful about the zip which can actually put a little bit of scratch…so be cautious! This bag also fits in the files and other paper documents which you are working on! Well, you really do not need any other document holder to be carried separately.

When it comes to protection of my lappe (laptop), the company really impressed me with the padded section of the bag which is especially engineered to give protection to the lappe. It seems that the Black dominates the world of Targus! The Targus Groove is the perfect and affordable backpack for my lappe and other gears. The backpack features a padded sleeve that protects the notebooks with a 15.4” wide screen. The front section of the bag is generous enough and provides storage area for CDs/DVDs, pens, key clips, mobile phone and also has port holes for headphones.

What I thought would be missing was the extra pocket for files and trust me, I was proven wrong! It has an extra pocket for files and documents and also an additional pocket for water bottles. The bag is engineered out of nylon and has a PVC bottom which gives protection against water and wear!

If you want your notebook to feel the ground (to put it in other way, if you don’t want to carry your lappe on your shoulders), the Targus CPT700US is the perfect choice of the decade! Awww… you may feel it to be an exaggeration of the matter but it remains the truth until someone else manufactures something else of sheer quality and elegance that can be matched and compared with this one.

What impressed me most is that the Targus CPT700US Roller Case can hold in its womb, a notebook that has a screen size of 17”! The bag is loaded with a telescoping trolley handle and also features inline skate wheels and can easily fit into the overhead bin of an aeroplane for a comfortable journey.

Now, this is what I really enjoy in all the Targus bags: the front pocket workstation. This workstation has provisions for key clips, business/I.D. card holder, pen/pencil holder, a removable cell phone compartment. It also has a front file folder for housing important documents and files. The interior workstation is also interesting which has provisions like PDA/MP3 compartment, accessory pouch which is removable and a large mesh zippered pouch. Huh! This is something unexpected but is made possible. The bag features a back compartment which can take care of your overnight clothes and accessories. Made of 840D nylon, the bag is black in color with grey accents. The bag has a device compatibility of 16.5″ x 12.6″ x 2.17″ and has an exterior dimension of 18″ x 15″ x 9″ and it comes with a limited lifetime warranty!

Yet another piece of art but sadly enough, this is not going to be my first preference! The Targus Messenger Bag is a cute little bag for carrying a lappe which has a 15.4” wide screen and is available in pink and grey.

The work station of the bag is designed to include ID holder, mobile phone holders and accessory pockets. The workstation also includes pen loops for holding pen and pencils. It is made up of polyester and has a water resistant case bottom to protect the lappe from getting in contact with water. The bag also has a heavily padded carry handle. With a limited lifetime warranty the bag has a dimension of 14.3” x 1.7” x 11.8” (HxWxD). Weighing around 1.6lbs, the bag is designed for windows based notebook PCs and has a CD format.

The Targus TSM07001US Messenger Bag is pink and grey in color. However, I found some shortcomings in the bag. The first thing that I noticed is that the pink color on the exterior of the bag is too less and it could have been a little more to give it a better look.

The worst thing is that the handle is located towards the back of the bag. This can be a bit irritating because when you try to carry the bag by holding the short handle, it becomes out of balance. The length of the long padded handle is yet another problem. It is not really long enough and could have been a little longer with additional 8-12 inches of strapping. This could really make it more comfortable to carry.

Another negative aspect is the absence of a zippered pocket on the front flap. However, the bag has a pocket at the back. This back pocket is not really very helpful. The bag actually needs to be flipped around if you want to get hold of keys, cards, tickets or passport (in case you put them there).

In overall comment, the bag is not very bad. It is a nice one. Only a few tweaks would have been better!
